Acupuncture is the world’s largest drug free healthcare therapy and is compatible with Western (orthodox) medicine. It is used to diagnose and treat illness, improve well being and prevent disease.
Thin hair like individually packaged sterile disposable acupuncture needles are used in accordance with the code of practise. Treatment is generally painless, a dull ache or tingling may be felt. There are over 400 acupuncture points but the main points are below the knees and elbows.
Sterile disposable insertion needles are applied to specific points on the body’s surface, optimising the patients physical and energetic well being thus harmonising the body’s own healing process.
Acupuncture in combination with Chinese Herbal Medicine (i.e. tablets, powders, loose herbs and tinctures) are used to treat the individual. Diet and lifestyle advice are recommended where appropriate.
